My Background

I returned home from serving as an officer in the US Army during Vietnam becomming a stockbroker in 1972. I built my business by working with business owners, executives, and professionals. As a FINRA Series 7 licensed Registered Representative I focused on researching and selecting individual investment security recommendations as an Investment Advisor with various stockbrokerage houses. Then in 1983, I expanded my expertise by co-founding an investment firm that specialized in private placement of securities to prepare companies for public offerings.

When a management consulting opportunity presented itself in 1989 I left the investment business to work with small business owners in franchise development and taught a senior/grad course in Small Business Management at St. Cloud State University.

In 1997 I rejoined my old investment business partner and started focusing on a more comprehensive approach to working with my business owner, executive and professional clients. The need to provide my clients with access to greater more financially extensive and sophisticated resources brought me to New York Life. My motivation was to inform and provide guidance to my clients in regards to their financial life, to this end, I make three promises: I don't expect you to believe anything I say, I expect you to want me to prove it. You are going to see things and understand things about your financial life that you have never seen before. And you are going to gain an understanding that the relationship between your assets is even more important than the rate of return.

My significant professional experience with business owners and professionals plus my investment background puts me in the position to bring a unique skill set to the extensive work I do with my clients.
